Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - The Washington Nationals reinstated pitcher Doug Slaten from the 15-day disabled list on Thursday, prior to their series finale with the Atlanta Braves. The 32-year-old lefty has missed 77 games since landing on the DL on June 4 with ulnar neuritis of his left elbow. Slaten went 0-1 with a 2.19 ERA in 23 games with the Nationals this year before the setback. He also posted a 1.74 ERA in nine rehab appearances throughout the Nats' farm system.
