| Portland, OR (Sports Network) - Portland Trail Blazers head coach Nate McMillan ruptured his right Achilles' tendon during practice Friday and will need surgery. McMillan will be able to coach the club on Saturday when they take on the Rockets but will not travel with the team on a four-game road trip that begins on Monday in New York. Assistant coach Dean Demopoulos will take over for McMillan, who will have surgery on Monday. Portland, which has lost three straight games, holds a 12-8 record. |
