Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Twins on Wednesday agreed to terms with veteran infielder Jamey Carroll on a two-year contract. The deal also includes a mutual option for 2014. Carroll appeared in a career-high 146 games with the Los Angeles Dodgers last season, batting .290 with 14 doubles, six triples and 17 RBI. For his career, the 37-year-old Carroll has hit .278 with 12 home runs and 214 RBI in 1,065 games for Montreal/Washington, Colorado, Cleveland and the Dodgers.
