| Portland, OR (Sports Network) - The Portland Trail Blazers have traded the draft rights to forward Tanguy Ngombo to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for a future second-round selection. Ngombo, a native of Congo, was taken by Dallas with the 57th overall pick in Thursday's draft. MIAMI (AP) - The Miami Heat have acquired Cleveland State guard Norris Cole from the Minnesota Timberwolves. Cole was picked by the Chicago Bulls with the 28th selection in Thursday night's NBA draft, then moved to Minnesota and ultimately Miami. The NBA did not approve the trade until Friday afternoon. The Minnesota Timberwolves' front office hasn't been good for a while. Turns out they're not very lucky, either. Some surprise. A half-dozen lousy seasons, punctuated by flat-out embarrassing 15- and 17-win totals back to back, has yielded a handful of trade and draft opportunities at which the club swung and - how to put it kindly? - missed.
